As you may have gathered by now - the name is Tom Stewart, AKA Fearless T. I am a 27 year old drummer from Uddingston, just outside of Glasgow. A civil servant of 10 years - you might be thinking I'm at home behind a desk and pushing bits of paper around. And you would be right. To a point. Because recently I got itchy feet and started looking around at what else was on offer. An opportunity to volunteer for Raleigh soon presented itself and I jumped at it. After completeing a long application and a trip to London for an assessment weekend I was delighted to hear I had secured the post and that on September 11th 2007 I would be flying to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia to start my new post - for the next 3 months anyway. Not sure of the exact project details yet, but stay tuned and I'll take you on the journey with me.
But right now, it's time to pack...
